Customer Success Manager

Job Description:

Currents is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Customer Success Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success and satisfaction of our clients, while also driving revenue growth and minimizing churn. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement our Customer Success strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional value to our customers. You will be responsible for developing our Customer Success strategy from the ground up, implementing, then translating that roadmap strategy into concrete objectives over the short and medium term with detailed plans of action to achieve them. 


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Customer Success strategy to drive retention, upsells, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Establish clear KPIs for retention and upsells, and regularly track and report on progress towards these objectives.
  • Work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling and expansion within existing accounts.
  • Occasionally travel to meet customers in person, identify expansion opportunities, manage upsells on your own, and coordinate/tee up cross-sell with sales executives.
  • Monitor customers’ health, usage, and ongoing/changing needs and execute playbooks to assist them in maximizing value from our solutions.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the product and communicate features and functionality that will improve their workflow.
  • Collaborate with the product, software development, and design teams to address customer feedback and enhance the user experience.
  • Lead the development and implementation of new customer success programs and initiatives to maximize revenue potential and minimize customer churn.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders at client organizations, serving as their trusted advisor and advocate within Currents.
  • Analyze customer data and feedback to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and take proactive measures to address them.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to customers, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their business objectives.


  • Proven track record of success in a customer-facing role, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Technical aptitude and proficiency with a CRM (Hubspot preferred) as well as emerging CS solutions like CSM platforms (i.e. Gainsight, Gong, etc), in-app guidance, marketing automation, and more.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, and development teams.
  • Passion for customer success and a dedication to delivering exceptional service.
